	December 6, 2003 - December 14, 2003	The fourth edition of the Florence International Biennale of Contemporary Art (Biennale Internazionale dell'Arte Contemporanea di Firenze) is to be held at the historic Medici fortress Fortezza da Basso from 6 -14 December 2003. After 1999 (40.000 visitors in nine days), the exhibition had a great development, increasing the numbers of participants internationally. This year more than 800 artists participated coming from 74 countries. The artists are selected by an International Scientific Committee without prejudice towards style, school or trend, chosen for their innovative, creative work and, as with all Contemporary Art, this is demonstrated via various media of painting, sculpture, graphic art, installation art or photography, to name but a few.
