First International Glass Symposium in Estonia
July 9th - July 13th, 2003

The Glass Symposium was held in the yard of Evald Okas Museum in Haapsalu at 24 Karja Street from July 9th to 13th 2003.
People were able to see hot glass demonstrations of internationally recognized glass artists.
The program included lectures with slide shows introducing creation of participating artists and glass art from different countries.

GLASS EXHIBITIONS:
On the first day of the Symposium several glass exhibitions introducing Estonian glass were opened in Haapsalu:
PILVI OJAMAA : engraving in Kuke Gallery at 7 Karja Str. (until July 31st)
IVO LILL - L
: glass sculptures in the Gallery of Haapsalu Art School at 6 Karja Str.  (until July 28th)
KAIRE LEEN VARIK and KAI KIUDSOO-VÄRV: in old drug store at 2 Wiedemanni Str. (until July 21st)
YOUNG GLASS: glasswork by students of Estonian Academy of Arts at 4 Karja Str
SOFI ARÐAS: glass objects in Haapsalu Kuursaal at 1 Promenaadi Str. (until July 31st)
